Scanaria vs Matterport
Real estate, hospitality, insurance and enterprise facilities teams that want one capture-to-publish platform
What you gain
Four things a scanner owner gets from Scanaria that Matterport does not offer in the same way.
- 01
Upload the E57 from the scanner you own, with its panoramas, on any plan. Matterport accepts it only partly or only for some customers.
- 02
Keep the finished tour as a folder that opens from index.html on any desktop, with no server and nothing calling home. Matterport keeps the tour inside its platform.
- 03
One flat $60 a month for unlimited processing, and hosting only if you want it, in the two larger plans. Matterport: subscription, from about $108 a month.
- 04
A phone-first viewer: the whole building under 15 MB, first view in seconds on 4G, Save for offline.
Where Matterport is stronger
- End-to-end capture ecosystem with own cameras, phone app and capture services, plus AI defurnishing, photo galleries, Property Layout reports and analytics
- Integrations with Revit, Procore and Xactimate and very wide market recognition
Matterport is the reference point for this category and its viewer, Dollhouse and measurement tools are mature. Third-party E57 import exists but only as an Enterprise private beta, so a Leica or Trimble user on a normal plan cannot upload scans. Tours stay inside a subscription, active-space limits are counted by scan points, and access ends when the subscription ends. An upload-and-own service differs by taking E57 from any scanner, charging one published flat fee for unlimited processing, and letting the customer keep a self-hosted copy.
