Privacy policy

This policy covers the website at scanaria.com and the Scanaria platform (together, the "Service"), operated by Scanaria ("we", "us"). It is written for a United States software service.

What we collect

Account information

Your email address, name, company name and billing address when you create an account or make a purchase. Payment card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us.

Uploaded content

The E57 files, panorama images, floor plans, project names and addresses you upload. We process these only to build your walkthrough and to deliver the download and hosted tour you request.

Usage information

Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of request) and privacy-respecting analytics from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals across sites. We do not use advertising trackers.

What you send through the contact form or by email, so we can reply.

How we use it

• To provide the Service: process uploads, host tours, send you the download link and processing notices.
• To bill you for projects and hosting you order.
• To respond to support requests and diagnose processing failures you report.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your uploaded scans or panoramas to train models, to build products, or for any purpose other than delivering your project.

Who we share it with

• Infrastructure providers that store and serve data on our behalf (Cloudflare for storage, delivery and analytics).
• Our payment processor, for billing.
• Our transactional email provider, for processing notices and replies.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Anyone you share a tour link with can open that tour. Links can carry an expiry you set.

Retention

Original uploads are kept for a grace period after processing, then removed. Hosted tours are kept while hosting is active and for a grace period afterwards so you can download the folder. Deleting a project removes the upload, the processed tour and derived files; backups age out within a grace period. Account records are kept while the account exists and as long as tax and accounting rules require afterwards.

Your choices

• Download your tours at any time while they are hosted.
• Delete any project from its project page.
• Ask us to export or delete your account data by writing to info@scanaria.com.
• Opt out of non-essential email by using the link in any message. Processing notices for projects you ordered are part of the Service.

Security

Data moves over HTTPS and is encrypted at rest by our storage provider. Access to customer files by our staff is limited to diagnosing a failure you report and is logged. No method is perfect; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you without undue delay.

Children

The Service is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

International users

Data is stored and processed in the United States. By using the Service you agree to that transfer.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders.
